On November 7 and 8, the Istrian Truffle Festival brings together fresh truffles, local producers and plenty of opportunities to taste the flavours of the season. Visitors can explore a truffle exhibition, taste and buy fresh truffles and truffle products, as well as discover a wide selection of other Istrian favourites, including prosciutto, cheese, olive oil, wine, honey, homemade pasta, jams and local spirits.
The programme also includes Buzet na pjatu (Buzet on a plate), a cooking show where local chefs prepare dishes for visitors, alongside live music and activities for children. And for those who prefer a little more action with their truffles, there’s even Lov na tartuf (Truffle Hunt), a race combining mountain biking and trekking. If you want to experience Buzet during one of its most delicious times of the year, this is a good weekend to visit.
