The medieval Morosini-Grimani castle, the renaissance square, the loggia and the overall contours of Svetvičenat are a perfect setting for an event reviving the medieval atmosphere. During three festival days, some hundred costumed participants – noblemen, knights, archers, horsemen and medieval ladies will vividly present the daily routine of this historic period. A knight camp, knightly duels, notorious clerical inquisition, night sieges with catapults and fireballs are just a small part of what you will see in Svetvičenat.
During the festival, visitors will be able to visit a medieval fair, learn about old crafts and skills, taste traditional dishes, but also try using a bow and arrow, crossbow and many other traditional games. When the door to the knight camps open, look around and learn about medieval equipment and real knights’ weapons.
