If you continue a little further, you’ll reach Hedera Club American Bar, part of the Maslinica Hotels & Resort but open to everyone. This is one of those spots that works equally well for a quiet morning coffee or a sunset cocktail. Their homemade desserts deserve a special mention, especially if you have a weakness for cakes with your afternoon espresso.

Some places simply have that “summer” feeling all day long, and Movie Bar is definitely one of them. During the day, it’s the perfect beach bar stop before or after a swim. In the evening, it slowly turns into one of the livelier places in Rabac, with cocktails, music, and people staying out long after dinner. If you ask locals where the night usually continues, this place often comes up.
A Short Drive to Labin – Worth It for the Atmosphere Alone
While Rabac is all about the sea, Labin brings a completely different energy. Stone streets, old town corners, slower evenings – and a café culture that feels a little more hidden. One place you shouldn’t miss is Bar & Restaurant Vento. Modern, stylish, and slightly different from the traditional old-town vibe, it’s become a favorite for everything from morning coffee to evening cocktails. They also serve brunch, dinner, and even matcha if you feel like switching things up for a day.
And then there’s Velo Kafe — a place almost everyone in Labin has a memory connected to. Sitting right in the heart of the old town, it carries that old Istrian café atmosphere that’s becoming harder to find. Coffee, cakes, ice cream, and a terrace that makes you want to stay longer than planned.
